About Proposition 65
Proposition 65 is a California law enacted in 1986 to help protect drinking water sources from chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm, and to inform consumers about potential chemical exposures.

The State of California maintains and updates a list of over 900 chemicals known to cause these health risks. Manufacturers are required to provide warnings on products that may contain listed chemicals.

Proposition 65 warnings are required only in California. Products with this warning are legal to sell in all U.S. states.
